Radiologic Technologist

Starting Wage: $33.91-$46.63 per hour, depending on experience

Position Summary

The Radiologic Tech, in an outpatient clinic setting under the direction of a physician, performs tests and procedures, including radiologic procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Provides care and performs specific tasks and duties that assist in patient care management. These duties are delegated in relation to the degree of training and in accordance with the policies of Asante and the respective state laws governing such actions and activities. They also assist with front office, surgery scheduling, billing, and medical records as necessary. They field and conduct patient calls as requested, manage the In Basket, and prepare charts. They also enter ancillary service orders and computerized provider order entries (CPOE).

Position Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Successful completion of radiology technology coursework is required

Certification/Licensure

• BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider, certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) is required
• Licensed in Radiography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) -OR- Licensed in Radiography by the OBMI with certification in Radiology is required
