Summer Music Lessons Teacher - Full-time / Part-time

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Summer Music Lessons Teacher at Central Dauphin School District. This seasonal position is designed for an enthusiastic music educator who will provide high-quality music instruction to students of varying skill levels. The ideal candidate will foster a love for music, enhance students' musical abilities, and create a positive and engaging learning environment during the summer months.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse musical interests and skill levels of students.
- Provide individual and group instruction in various instruments and vocal techniques.
- Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth and improvement.
- Organize and lead music-related activities, including performances, recitals, and workshops.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages creativity and collaboration.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a safe and organized learning environment, ensuring all equipment and materials are in good condition.

Requirements
- A valid PA teaching certification in Music Education is required.
- Proven experience in teaching music to students of various ages and skill levels.
- Proficiency in one or more musical instruments and/or vocal performance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Availability to work during the summer months, to include rehearsals in late June and early July with a concert to follow.
- Background check clearance as required by the Central Dauphin School District.

Class Days:

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (selected dates) early June through early August

Hours:

• various hours between 7:30AM and 4:00PM
