Summer Music Band/Orchestra Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Summer Music Band/Orchestra Teacher at Central Dauphin School District. This seasonal position is designed for an enthusiastic music educator who will provide high-quality music instruction to students of varying skill levels. This position is specifically for the summer concert series.

Responsibilities
- Assist with rehearsals, including set-up and tear-down and student arrival/dismissal.
- Organize and lead music-related performances.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a safe and organized learning environment, ensuring all equipment and materials are in good condition.

Requirements
- A valid PA teaching certification in Music Education is required.
- Proven experience in teaching music to students of various ages and skill levels.
- Proficiency in one or more musical instruments and/or vocal performance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Availability to work during the summer months, to include rehearsals in late June and early July with a concert to follow.
- Background check clearance as required by the Central Dauphin School District.
