Personal Support Specialist (PSS)

Job Summary:

Mount Joseph at Waterville is seeking a compassionate and skilled Personal Support Specialist (PSS) to join our team. Under the direction of the Registered or Licensed Nurse Manager/Designee, the PSS will provide assigned residents with routine daily personal care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan.

Responsibilities:

• Follow resident care plans and provide personal care services such as bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, nail, hair, skin, and foot care

• Assist residents with elimination needs, including assistance to and from the bathroom or commode, and assistive devices such as bedpans or urinals

• Assist residents with ambulating needs, including use of assistive devices such as walkers, canes, wheelchairs, and Hoyer lifts

• Observe, report, and document any changes in the resident's physical or mental status

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• PSS certification
