Summary:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist's to join our team for the Extended School Year (ESY) program. The Extended School Year (ESY) Speech-Language Pathologist provides speech and language therapy services to eligible students during the summer program to support the maintenance of communication skills in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services aligned with students’ IEP goals.
  • Support development and maintenance of speech, language, articulation, fluency, voice, and pragmatic communication skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers.
  • Consult with staff regarding communication strategies and classroom supports.
  • Maintain required service documentation and student progress records.
  • Participate in IEP-related meetings as needed during the ESY program.
  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive therapeutic environment.
  • Follow district policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements:

  • Must have a School Speech and Language Pathologist (PK-12) or Special Education - Speech and Language Impaired PK-12 certification.
  •  The ability to provide speech and language therapy to meet the identified speech and language needs of children/students with a speech and language disability. Knowledge of state, federal and Board policies, guidelines, and procedures and the rights and responsibilities of parents, students, teachers and schools as they relate to individuals with special needs.

Hours of Work:

  • 7:30 am - 12:30 pm 

Up to 6 hours per week to be determined by enrollment

 Dates of Program:

  • 7/7/2026 - 7/30/2026

  • Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday

 Locations:

  • Elementary - Mt. View Elementary 
  • Secondary - CD East High
