Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Elementary Substitute Teacher's for our Extended School Year (ESY) program. ESY Elementary Substitute Teacher provide instructional support to eligible students during the summer program to help maintain academic, social, and behavioral skills. The teacher works collaboratively with special education staff to deliver instruction aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Responsibilities:
- Provide small group or individualized instruction based on IEP goals.
- Implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and ESY program requirements.
- Monitor and document student progress.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and site staff.
- Communicate effectively with program administrators and families as needed.
- Follow all district policies and procedures.

Requirements:
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education PK-12.
- Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting.
- Understanding of special education laws, regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy and a genuine desire to support and empower students with diverse needs.
- Ability to adapt lesson and teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software.
