Chichester School District – Now Hiring Bus Aides!

Position Title: Bus Aide
Department: Transportation
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students in safely boarding and exiting the school bus.
• Ensure that students are seated and remain seated while the bus is in motion.
• Monitor student behavior and intervene when necessary to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
• Assist the driver with pre-trip and post-trip inspections as needed.
• Help with the loading and unloading of students, including those with special needs or mobility challenges.
• Communicate effectively with the bus driver, school staff, and parents regarding student concerns or incidents.
• Ensure that all required protective safety devices are in use and properly fastened.
• Demonstrate good moral character, reliability, and professionalism at all times.
