BTCM Akron is the largest blockchain data center in Akron Ohio. We are scaling operations in and are looking for talented locals to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- This role is a combination of maintenance/preventative maintenance (70%) and IT Troubleshooting (30%)
- Install and maintain data center devices including servers and/or software
- Complete daily walkthroughs, inventory, and system checks
- Maintain records of all events and logs and submit daily and weekly reports to the off-site team
- Provide practical troubleshooting solutions and get ahead of problems before they start with basic hardware (ASIC)
- Receive and ship data center equipment
- Rack and install incoming equipment in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in IT, customer service, or other related fields
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Training will be provided. Entry level candidates are welcomed
- Ability to lift and carry 40-70 pounds
- Ability to walk long distances (from one side of the center to the other and back frequently based on need)
- Ability to withstand cold and hot temperatures and noisy environment
