1st class Combo Welders - Full-time

Venture Dynamics is seeking Experienced Combo Fitters/Welder.   Welders must be able to weld 2” carbon steel plate and pass the 3-position welding test. This will be shop work located Norfolk or Hampton, VA.  Pay scale: Hourly Rates of $19 to $36 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and Interpret Blueprints: Understand technical drawings, specifications, and weld symbols to ensure accurate assembly and fit-up. 
• Material Preparation: Clean, grind, and prepare metal components and joints using tools and the appropriate welding procedures. 
• Perform Welding: Execute various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, Stick (SMAW), and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), to join structural components and piping systems. 
• All-Position Welding: Skillfully weld in all positions, including flat, vertical, and overhead. 
• Equipment Setup and Operation: Set up and operate manual and automatic welding equipment. 
• Safety Procedures: Adhere to all safety protocols, which includes identifying risks, completing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and working safely in various environments.
