Floating Maintenance Technician - Full-time

FLATS LLC is currently hiring an experienced floating Maintenance Engineer in the Chicagoland area. ?This is a full-time, floating position - ideal for someone with multi-unit maintenance experience. ?Learn more about our unique offerings at flatslife.com.? 

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Responsible for keeping our properties in top notch physical condition 
• Maintain the facility so that it is free from safety hazards 
• Perform routine maintenance, general repairs, lighting, parking lots, etc. 
• Identify and repair minor electrical and plumbing problems 
• Prioritize, plan, schedule and perform preventative maintenance 
• Provide daily reports and communication regularly with property manager 
• Respond to after-hours calls 
• Perform carpentry work on facilities 
• Maintaining grounds and common areas of assigned properties 
• Snow removal as needed 
• Create and maintain records on routine preventative maintenance of building systems and equipment 
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and take appropriate action 
• Must have working knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance repairs 
• Must have superior customer service skills and great attention to detail 
• High energy and commitment to a higher level of performance in a busy multi-tasking work environment. 
• Perform tasks or duties assigned by Regional Maintenance Supervisor 

Qualifications and Skills 

• Education High school degree or equivalent 
• HVAC certification/experience 
• Knowledge in building and grounds maintenance 
• Valid driver’s license, valid insurance and reliable transportation 
• Strong personal skills to interact with tenants 

Experience level: 

• 3 years 

Schedule: 

• Monday to Friday 
• On call 
• Overtime 
• Weekend availability 

Car allowance $0.67 

Hourly rate: $28-$31
