Tax Manager

Based in the Greater Cleveland, OH area, we are a well-established public accounting firm known for its client-focused approach collaborative culture and commitment to delivering practical results. The firm is expanding and seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join a growing team handling sophisticated tax and advisory matters. This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional who values technical depth client relationships and long-term professional stability within a supportive firm environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan supervise and complete tax engagements including reviewing work papers resolving complex issues and keeping leadership informed of key developments
• Oversee the preparation and filing of federal state and local tax returns including complex individual estate gift and trust returns with accuracy and efficiency
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize liability and maximize tax benefits while identifying opportunities to expand services for existing clients
• Supervise and mentor Associates and Senior Associates providing feedback and supporting their professional growth and career development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Finance or related field with CPA or EA required; Master's Degree and SALT experience preferred
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting with demonstrated experience reviewing complex individual and trust tax returns including Forms 706 709 and 1041
• Strong organizational communication and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume environment
• Experience developing relationships with external tax advisors and government agencies with proficiency in tax research and relevant software platforms
