Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Quality Assurance Technician for our client. This role is responsible for monitoring and enforcing GMP and food safety compliance, performing inspections and documentation, conducting environmental and ATP sampling, analyzing product specifications, managing non-conforming products, calibrating laboratory equipment, handling sample preparation and shipments, verifying temperature controls and HACCP checks, and ensuring all products meet customer and regulatory requirements.

This role is responsible for monitoring and enforcing GMP and food safety compliance, performing inspections and documentation, conducting environmental and ATP sampling, analyzing product specifications, managing non-conforming products, calibrating laboratory equipment, handling sample preparation and shipments, verifying temperature controls and HACCP checks, and ensuring all products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
- Monitor and enforce all GMP / Food Safety compliance
- Utilize proper PPE and follow OSHA guidelines
- Pre-Op Inspection and Corrective Action Documentation
- Daily GMP monitoring and checklist
- Environmental swabs as specified in ATP sampling procedure
- Download ATP results
- Perform product specification analysis based on customer specs and document accordingly
- Ensure that all products are produced to customer specification
- Daily Non-Conforming Product review and complete Non-Conforming Holds
- Calibration of laboratory equipment / sign off on form
- Raw product inventory old age / dump report
- Prepare and ship customer samples as requested
- Prepare and ship environmental samples to lab
- Collect and label finished product shelf life and micro retains for analysis
- Inspect raw material in question
- Make sure all cooler doors are closed – monitor daily temps.
- Make sure all facility doors are closed / no gaps of light showing
- Change temperature chart recorders weekly, date, sign and file
- Verify that recorders are operating properly by verifying the room temperature with a calibrated thermometer or a digital thermometer, date and sign
- Verify HACCP verification checks are being performed as specified
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of the process and quality procedures
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- English and/or Spanish Speaking preferred
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to move or lift to 50lbs.
- Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
- Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
