Overview Manufacturing company in Watertown, CT is seeking a Press and Stamping Machine Operator in a temp-to-hire role for 1st shift. You will operate and maintain press/stamping machines to produce high-quality metal components while adhering to strict safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press and stamping machines; adjust settings for optimal performance.
• Load raw materials; monitor operations to detect malfunctions or deviations.
• Inspect finished parts with measuring tools to verify conformance to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, basic adjustments).
• Maintain accurate production records; promptly report issues to supervision.
• Follow all safety protocols and use required PPE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating press and stamping machinery preferred.
• Ability to read/interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively on a team.

Working Conditions

• Stand for extended periods; lift/move materials up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to typical manufacturing environment (noise, moving machinery).
• Proper PPE required at all times.
