Salary Range: $120,000 – $140,000 base + bonus potential

A growing and well-established concrete and road construction contractor is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee field operations across multiple active job sites. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving project execution, managing field teams, and ensuring operational excellence.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong background in heavy civil construction, particularly concrete and roadway projects, who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on leadership environment. The right candidate will bring both strategic oversight and day-to-day operational leadership to support continued growth.
What You’ll Do
● Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple roadwork and concrete construction projects
● Lead and manage project managers, superintendents, and field crews
● Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
● Coordinate scheduling, labor allocation, and equipment utilization across job sites
● Partner with estimating and preconstruction teams to support project planning and execution
● Monitor project performance, including cost tracking, productivity, and timelines
● Maintain strong relationships with clients, municipalities, and subcontractors
● Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and local requirements
● Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and profitability
● Support hiring, training, and development of field personnel
What You Bring
● 7+ years of experience in construction operations, with a focus on concrete or roadwork projects
● Proven leadership experience managing multiple crews or project teams
● Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction, including site work, flatwork, and roadway projects
● Experience with scheduling, budgeting, and project performance tracking
● Ability to lead in a hands-on environment while also managing high-level operations
● Strong communication and problem-solving skills
● Familiarity with construction software, project management tools, or ERP systems is a plus
● OSHA knowledge and commitment to job site safety
