Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Psychiatric

Location: St. Louis, MO 63112
Shift Options:

• Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM

• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
  (All shifts include a 30-minute break)

Pay Rate: $50–$60/hour (based on local or travel contract)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) – Psychiatric to provide high-quality mental health care in a structured clinical environment. This role is ideal for nurses with strong assessment skills, experience in psychiatric or correctional settings, and the ability to deliver safe, compassionate, and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ mental health status and monitor behavioral and emotional changes

• Administer psychiatric medications and monitor for effectiveness and potential side effects

• Ensure patient safety through close observation, crisis intervention, and risk assessment

• Utilize therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, behavioral health specialists, and multidisciplinary care teams

• Accurately document patient care and maintain compliance with mental health regulations and standards

Required Experience & Credentials

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in a psychiatric or correctional setting

• Minimum 1 year of experience working as a travel RN

• Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Missouri
