Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology Technician in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This position involves providing specialized assistance in interventional radiology procedures within a Level 1 Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of placement.
Job Details:

- Schedule: Days shift, 40 hours per week, with shifts typically from 0800 to 1830 or 0800 to 1630, with 3-12 or 4-10 hour shifts and 3-4 call days per month, including every 5th-6th weekend hours from Friday around 1630 to Monday at 0800
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification; current ARRT-R or RCIS registration; minimum of 2 years of experience specific to Interventional Radiology Body/Neuro at a Level 1 Trauma Center; valid Drivers License (if applicable)
- Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications such as ACLS and NIHSS are preferred but not mandatory
- Float: No
- Additional Information: The role involves assisting with scrubbing and procedure assistance, circulating, operating equipment, and providing supplies. Tech extenders assist with room turnover, paperwork, transport, and inventory, with a staffing ratio of 2 technicians per room and 4 neuro providers along with a neuro radiologist and neurosurgeons. Orientation may be up to 2 weeks. The department's culture is supportive of new grads and requires comfort with preceptorship. Parking is free, and hospital-provided scrub uniforms are available.
