American Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 1 year of experience and ARDMS certification for a 13-week travel contract at a community hospital in New York.
Details- Community hospital setting in Massena, NY
- General ultrasound unit performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures
- Patient population ranges from pediatric to adult
- Common procedures include OB, abdominal, DVT, carotids, breast ultrasound, thoracentesis, and paracentesis
- Outpatient work setting experience required
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Call required every 3rd day after 6:00 PM and every 3rd weekend
- Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound/sonography experience
- Current ARDMS certification and BLS required
- NY state license required (must be in hand)
- Community hospital experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- License required if applicable
- Perform general diagnostic ultrasound imaging including OB, abdominal, DVT, carotid, and breast studies, as well as invasive procedures such as thoracentesis and paracentesis
- Experience with biopsies is preferred
- Preferred certifications include ARRT (Sonography), RDMS (AB, OB, BR, Peds), and RVT
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
- Two professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
