American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring L&D experience and a CO or compact RN license.
Details\n- \n
- Acute care 8-bed LDRP unit with 1 OR suite for C-sections \n
- Approximately 35 deliveries per month, following AWHONN staffing ratio guidelines \n
- Low-risk patient population, >36 weeks gestation \n
- Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, self-scheduling \n
- 3 full weekends required in a 6-week period, plus 3 weekend (Fri-Sat) on-call shifts in a 6-week period \n
- Rare floating possible to assist other units as helping hands \n
- Uses EPIC EMR and OBIX EFM system \n
- Charge RN takes a patient assignment \n
- 1 OB tech staffed each shift \n
- CPAP and vent equipment available for neonatal transfers, though vent use is rare \n
- \n
- Active CO state or compact (NLC) RN license required, pending licenses not accepted \n
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required (active, not pending) \n
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required \n
- L&D experience required \n
- Must be able to titrate drips including oxytocin and occasionally magnesium sulfate \n
- Must be able to read own fetal monitor strips \n
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility \n
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration \n

- Provide labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum nursing care in an LDRP setting \n
- Interview process includes a candidate interview with the clinical team; no unit manager involvement \n
- Blue scrubs are provided \n
- Unit-specific orientation includes 2 shifts in addition to general orientation \n
- Clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely \n
- 1 full summer holiday and 1 full winter holiday coverage required \n
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position, verified via driver's license \n
- Float radius policy applies, requiring travelers to secure housing within the hired float zone if applicable \n
- First-time travelers may be considered \n
