\nClinical Role
\nJoin an established CRNA-only anesthesia practice in Winona, Minnesota, providing independent anesthesia services in a rural hospital setting. This locums opportunity offers a broad case mix, autonomous practice, and the opportunity to work within a collaborative anesthesia team.
\nAssignment Details
\nStart Date:
\nASAP – Approximately 45 days from accepted offer
\nContract Length:
\nThree months with option to extend
\nCoverage Requirements:
\nTwo full-time equivalent providers needed
\nMinimum availability of two weeks per month plus one weekend of call required
\nSchedule:
\nMonday through Friday clinical coverage with weekday call
\nWeekday shifts:
\n7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
\nWeekday call:
\n3:00 PM – 7:00 AM
\nWeekend and holiday call:
\nTypically one in four rotation
\nWeekend shifts:
\n24-hour call coverage from 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
\nProviders must be able to respond within 30 minutes when on call

\nPractice Setting:
\nRural hospital
\n49-bed facility
\nIndependent CRNA practice model
\nDepartment Information:
\nFour core operating rooms
\nDedicated endoscopy suite
\nC-suite procedural area
\nOne flex operating room
\nDaVinci robotic surgery platform available
\nPatient Population:
\nPrimarily adult and geriatric patients
\nLight pediatric volume, primarily dental and laparoscopic procedures
\nPatient Volume:
\nTypically three to five cases per day depending on operating room volume
\nClinical Responsibilities:
\nIndependent anesthesia management
\nPreoperative evaluations
\nIntraoperative anesthesia care
\nPost-anesthesia management
\nCall coverage responsibilities
\nEmergency and obstetric anesthesia services
\nRequired Clinical Experience & Procedures:
\nOrthopedic surgery including total joints, spine, and sports procedures
\nGeneral surgery
\nPlastic surgery including cosmetic and reconstructive procedures
\nPodiatry
\nObstetric anesthesia
\nApproximately 35–50 cesarean deliveries annually
\nOphthalmology procedures including cataracts
\nNeuraxial anesthesia including:
\nSpinal anesthesia
\nEpidural anesthesia
\nCombined spinal-epidural anesthesia
\nPeripheral nerve blocks
\nGeneral anesthesia
\nObstetric anesthesia management
\nSupport & Technology
\nSupport Staff:
\nThree to four CRNAs typically scheduled daily
\nTwo pediatric CRNAs available on Fridays
\nCollaborative anesthesia team
\nEMR System:
\nCerner/Oracle
\nRequirements
\nNBCRNA Certification – Required
\nActive Minnesota License – Required
\nDEA Registration – Required
\nBLS Certification – Required
\nACLS Certification – Required
\nPALS Certification – Required
\nNeonatal Resuscitation Certification – Required
\nMinimum two years of CRNA experience – Required
\nExperience with nerve blocks – Required
\nObstetric anesthesia experience – Required
\nGeneral anesthesia experience – Required
\nSpinal anesthesia experience – Required
\nPediatric anesthesia experience – Preferred
\nRural healthcare experience – Strongly preferred
\nAbility to practice independently in a CRNA-only model – Required
