Shift Length: 3x12-Hour
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Duration: 13 weeks

 

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Postpartum Mother & Baby with a minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in high-risk obstetric care, including the management of postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, Foley catheter care, and patients experiencing substance withdrawal. Candidates must have EPIC EMR experience and be comfortable managing a standard assignment of up to four mother-baby couplets while providing safe, compassionate, and evidence-based postpartum and newborn care.

 

Documents Required:

  • Valid WA State RN license
  • BLS Certified through AHA
  • NRP

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns, including assessment, monitoring, and patient education.
  • Manage high-risk obstetric patients, including those requiring Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, Foley catheter care, and postpartum hemorrhage interventions.
  • Monitor maternal and neonatal conditions, identify complications, and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team.
  • Care for patients experiencing substance withdrawal while ensuring safe, evidence-based nursing interventions and support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and manage a standard assignment of up to four mother-baby couplets.
