Job Title: Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Step-Down)
Location: Rome, NY
Type: Contract
Schedule: 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Pay Rate: $49 to $54/HR

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Step-Down) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Rome, NY.

Requirements:

• 1–2 years of step-down and/or telemetry experience
• Experience with adult/geriatric patients
• RN ratio: 6:1
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a step-down unit
• Monitor patient status, including telemetry and vital signs, and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the EMR system
• Ensure patient safety and follow hospital policies and clinical standards
