Full‐time | $25–$34/hr DOQ | Contract‐to‐Hire or Direct Hire
Tesoro Group is hiring an experienced Roving Maintenance Technician to support several student‐housing properties across Minneapolis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, can work independently, and has strong experience in residential or multifamily maintenance. A 2nd Class Boilers License is required.
You’ll rotate between multiple properties to complete work orders, perform preventive maintenance, and support building operations. This is a long‐term opportunity with the option to convert to permanent employment after 90 days or go direct hire for the right candidate.
Schedule & Pay
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- On‐call rotation every 5–6 weeks
- $25–$34/hour DOQ
- Contract‐to‐hire (90 days) or direct hire
What You’ll Do
- Complete work orders in occupied and vacant units (plumbing, electrical, HVAC basics, appliance repairs, general maintenance).
- Perform unit turns, including repairs, cleaning, painting, and prep.
- Troubleshoot and repair boilers, mechanical systems, and building equipment.
- Support preventive maintenance projects and seasonal tasks.
- Maintain common areas, hallways, lighting, grounds, and building safety systems.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls during on‐call rotation.
- Maintain accurate documentation in property management software.
- Follow safety procedures and comply with all regulations.
- Represent Tesoro Group in a professional, respectful manner.
Requirements
- 2+ years of residential or multifamily maintenance experience
- 2nd Class Boilers License (required)
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems
- Ability to complete work orders, unit turns, and general building repairs
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and insurance
- Ability to participate in on‐call rotation
- Ability to lift, carry, and operate hand and power tools
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to pass a background check
- Comfortable using phones, computers, and property management software
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

This position supports multiple student‐housing communities across Minneapolis. Properties range from mid‐rise buildings to townhome‐style units, offering a mix of older and newer construction. The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, and comfortable moving between sites as needed.
