Job Description
Emmaus Inc., a non-profit in Haverhill MA, is seeking a Direct Support Supervisor to become part of our hard-working, solutions-driven team. Make a difference in the lives of homeless parents and children by helping them to rebuild their lives and reach their fullest potential.
We are looking for an energetic, supportive and committed individual to fill the position of second shift Supervisor of our Individual Shelter. Emmaus is seeking an energetic, supportive and committed individual to fill an opening for a direct care/case manager position in our emergency shelter for homeless adults. Mitch’s Place is a fast-paced emergency overnight shelter serving 30-34 individuals a night.
Emmaus is willing to provide training and support to help the right person to grow into the job.
Requirements of the Direct Support Supervisor: (Emmaus is willing to train and support the right person to grow into this position.)
- Must be willing to work a Monday – Friday, Second Shift (2pm -10pm) position.
- High school diploma/GED.1 years’ experience working with low income people.
- Non-profit experience preferred.
- Bi-Lingual Spanish /English preferred but not required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check to screen for driving record and receive an
- acceptable; driving rating under Emmaus driving matrix.
- Must undergo CORI check upon hiring.
- Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
