Job Description: Test Technician
The Test Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electromechanical systems to support the development and production of advanced robotic platforms. This role requires a methodical, hands-on approach to daily testing activities, close collaboration with Manufacturing Test Engineering and design teams, and a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate, reliable test results across prototype and production environments.
Responsibilities:
● Conduct PCBA and assembly-level testing of electromechanical subassemblies for use in robotic systems
● Conduct basic electromechanical debug under the guidance of engineering subject matter experts
● Assist in document test systems assembly, bring-up, and troubleshooting guide
● Working with the Manufacturing Test Engineering team, prototype, build, and troubleshoot test systems and cable assemblies for design, production, and external suppliers
● Proactively manage inventory of test equipment to minimize downtime for test-stand assembly build
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
● Prior experience working on electrical systems and proficiency of basic test equipment like multimeters, oscilloscopes and signal generators
● Able to read and interpret electronic circuit schematics and troubleshoot failures down to a component level
● Formal training or education as an Electronics Technician
● Basic computer skills with experience in command-line operating systems such as Linux
● Practical hands-on experience with mechanical systems and fabrication
● Experience with test automation is a plus
● Experience working with robots and/or robotic systems preferred
● Self-motivated and able to work in a collaborative team-based environment with minimal supervision
● Travel between local sites required
