Maintenance Mechanic

A maintenance mechanic inspects, repairs, and services machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime. They perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical failures, use diagnostic tools, and maintain safety standards. Common tasks include repairing motors, hydraulic systems, and plumbing, while documenting work via computer systems. 

40-50 hours per week Mandatory Overtime.

days off will be Wednesday and Sunday

$32-$40 DOE

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, and servicing of machinery to prevent breakdowns.
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical failures and repair or replace broken parts (e.g., bearings, belts, gears) in a timely manner.
• Installation: Assemble and install new or repaired equipment and machinery.
• Systems Maintenance: Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and plumbing systems within a facility.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations (OSHA) and maintain a clean work area.
• Documentation: Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document work orders and maintain records.
• Tool Usage: Operate hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments. 

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; technical training in industrial maintenance is preferred.
• Experience: 1–2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or a similar role.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for long periods.
• Analytical Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of failures.
