Position Summary
The Production Operator is responsible for assembling, testing, inspecting, and packaging server and electronic hardware products according to defined work instructions and quality standards. This role supports daily manufacturing operations and requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety and ESD procedures.
This is a hands-on, on-site manufacturing role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble server components including motherboards, CPUs, memory, storage, power supplies, and cabling
- Operate manual and automated tools for installation, fastening, and testing
- Perform visual and functional inspections to ensure product quality and compliance
- Follow detailed work instructions, bills of material, schematics, and safety guidelines
- Accurately record production data and report defects or process issues
- Support basic troubleshooting and rework under guidance of Manufacturing or Quality
- Maintain clean and organized workstations in compliance with ESD and 5S standards
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparation of finished units for shipment
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in manufacturing, electronics assembly, or production preferred
- Ability to follow written and visual work instructions
- Familiarity with ESD-safe handling procedures is a plus
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills for data entry
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift manufacturing components safely
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience assembling electronics, servers, or PC hardware
- Experience using hand tools, powered tools, or automated assembly equipment
- Prior work in a structured manufacturing or cleanroom environment
