We are seeking a mission-driven Patient Financial Advocate to serve as a high-touch navigator for patients facing complex insurance and financial barriers. Working within the Patient Financial Services team, you will leverage Epic Hyperspace to resolve billing discrepancies and assist patients in securing financial aid. Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Serve as a primary point of contact for patients with high-risk or uninsured cases, manually processing financial assistance applications and resolving complex insurance discrepancies.
- Provide pre-service estimates by clearly explaining copays and deductibles to patients, while setting up automated, self-service payment plans.
- Identify and resolve "clean claim" errors and billing denials flagged in Epic worklists
- Navigate Resolute (Billing), ADT/Prelude (Registration), and the Benefit Engine to manage patient files and ensure the accuracy of all financial records.
What You'll Bring
- Ability to interpret data reports and analyze worklist priorities to ensure the most urgent patient needs are met first.
- Comfort learning and mastering complex software systems (Full training on Epic and Hyperspace will be provided).
- Familiarity with medical billing, health insurance terminology, or patient advocacy.
- Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a significant asset
