American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM). 36 or 48-hour weekly options available. Overtime paid for hours over 48 in one week. Six weekend shifts required within a six-week period. No call required.
Highlights:- 32-bed medical surgical unit with 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratios
- Rapid response team support available on unit
- Epic charting system utilized
- First-time travelers welcome; no previous travel experience required
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, physical therapy, radiology, and social services
- Float to like units as needed; brief orientation provided
- Active New Mexico RN license or Compact license (must be obtained prior to start date)
- Minimum 1 year of recent medical surgical nursing experience required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred
- Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
- Proficiency in Epic charting preferred
- Clinical skills including IV starts, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, wound care, oxygen administration, PCA pumps, and colostomy care
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
This 91-day travel assignment offers flexible scheduling with 36 or 48-hour weekly options and competitive overtime opportunities.
