Position Overview

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides high-quality rehabilitative care under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role is essential in helping patients improve mobility, restore function, and achieve greater independence across the lifespan.

• Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve strength, mobility, and functional independence
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Educate patients and families on exercises, safety, and rehabilitation goals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
• Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive treatment environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensure: Current North Carolina license as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience: Prior experience preferred; pediatric experience is a plus
