Pay range: $25.02–$27.37 DOE.

Available Shifts:

Mixture of TMA and NAR

  • Evening TMA Shift — 32 hours per pay period, 8-hour shifts (every other weekend), AND Evening NAR Shift — 40 hours per pay period, 8-hour shifts.

Essential functions include, but not limited to:

  • Adhere to, support and promote St. Francis Health Services’ Mission and Core Values, philosophy, goals and objectives while conducting company business.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and resident related information at all times.
  • Safely administers medications as ordered by physicians.
  • Knows the dosage and effects of medication prior to administration and is alert to potential side effects.
  • Make nurses aware of any unusual dosages or routes of administration.
  • Correctly charts medication administered for shift.
  • Observes and documents resident's response to medication.
  • Checks med charts and MAR prior to administration and checks MAR at end of shift to check for possible deletions/errors.
  • Follows established procedures for drug control (i.e., locking medication carts, reordering medications, returning unused drugs to pharmacy, and signing out controlled drugs, locking medication room door when unattended).
  • Cleans and stocks medication cart at the end of the shift.
  • Orders, checks and stores medication according to policy and procedure.
  • Performs treatments such as creams and ointments and suppositories.
  • Notes changes in residents’ normal routine including nutrition, elimination, basic skin changes, ambulation and skin integrity.
  • Performs residents’ vital signs, weights and records.
  • Prepares the resident and family with explanations about the procedure and provides emotional support.
  • Recognizes potential emergencies and takes the appropriate action.
  • Communicates with nurse regarding residents' condition and concerns, physical and emotional status, projected interventions and family interactions.
  • Able to operate the following equipment and perform the following procedures: medication administration, topical treatments, care of ostomy, urinary catheters, restraints, EZ Stand, Hoyer Lift, and vital signs.
