Facilities Technician

Johnson Service Group (JSG)  is seeking a Facilities Technician for our cGMP manufacturing client in Carlsbad, CA  

Onsite | $34 - $38 per hour | Contract to Hire

This is a hands-on role supporting facility operations, equipment maintenance, and new equipment startup within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on facility and production equipment
• Support equipment installation, validation, and startup
• Maintain and troubleshoot systems including:
• HVAC
• Autoclaves & steam systems
• Clean compressed air & gas systems
• RODI / purified water systems
• Facility monitoring systems (FMS/BMS)
• Assist with SOP creation and updates
• Ensure cGMP compliance and proper documentation practices
• Support cleanroom operations (airflow, pressure, etc.)
• Coordinate hazardous waste disposal
• Perform basic plumbing and electrical work
• Identify issues and support CAPA activities

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in cGMP / pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• HVAC certification preferred
• 1+ year experience with FMS/BMS systems
• Familiarity with SOPs, GMP documentation, and batch records
• Experience with MasterControl is a plus
• Knowledge of Lean / 5S principles preferred
