Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with active State or Compact license and 2 years of L&D experience for a teaching hospital position.

Details\n

\n
• Labor & Delivery unit within a teaching hospital setting
\n
• Facility performs 200-300 births per month
\n
• Cares for high risk antepartum and obstetrical triage patients
\n
• Performs antepartum care and procedures
\n
• Utilizes fetal monitoring and IUPC placement/calibration
\n
• Administers anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy
\n
• Assists with high risk deliveries and circulates for C-sections
\n
• Provides C-section recovery care and performs sterile vaginal exams
\n
• Maintains central lines (CVC/PICC) and performs IV therapy/phlebotomy
\n
• Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active State or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
\n
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
\n
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, and FHM
\n
• Charting system experience required, with EPIC experience preferred
\n
• Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge required
\n

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position
\n
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility for consideration
\n
• Former staff must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
\n
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
\n
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of orientation
\n
• Onboarding requires completion of core items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing
\n
• Orientation modules are completed onsite
\n
