Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology RN with GA or compact licensure and at least 1 year of IR experience for a day shift assignment with call requirements.

  • Interventional Radiology unit setting
  • \n
  • Cases include bronchoscopy, EBUS, and navigational bronchoscopy along with vascular, GI, pulmonary, and genitourinary procedures
  • \n
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • \n
  • Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • \n
  • On-call required 1 to 2 days a week plus 1 weekend per month
  • \n
  • Weekend coverage included as part of call requirements
  • \n
  • Floating required within facility scope of practice and to an additional network hospital as needed
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • \n
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • \n
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
  • \n
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • \n
  • Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
  • \n
  • Skills in vascular studies, carotid stenting, central venous access/port placement, endovascular interventions, stent graft placement, SVC/IVC venography, and upper/lower extremity angiography
  • \n
  • Skills in GI procedures including chemoembolization, paracentesis, and percutaneous hepatic angiography
  • \n
  • Skills in pulmonary procedures including chest tube placement, lung biopsy, and thoracentesis
  • \n
  • Skills in genitourinary procedures including nephrostomy, renal angiography, and renal artery stent placement
  • \n
  • Interventional cardiac cath lab experience preferred
  • \n
  • Copies of listed certifications required for consideration
  • \n

  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • \n
  • Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, and all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
  • \n
  • No RTO can be requested during orientation week
  • \n
  • Holiday coverage required based on how many major holidays fall within the assignment, with limited holiday RTO available only when three holidays occur during the assignment
  • \n
  • Full compliance required prior to start, as non-compliance may result in a two-week delay due to biweekly orientation scheduling
  • \n
  • Former Piedmont perm, per diem, or FCSS staff must be separated for one full year before applying as a traveler
  • \n
  • Travelers previously not returned to a Piedmont facility must complete one assignment outside the Piedmont system before reapplying
