Job Description

BioPhase Solutions specializes in recruiting top talented professionals for Southern California's Scientific community. We are currently looking for a Maintenance Mechanic – 3rd shift (contract) to work for a leading Greater Los Angeles area contract development and manufacturing organization.

Pay Rate: $27-30+/hour DOE

Contract: 3-6+ months (covering for LOA)

3rd Shift: 9:00pm – 5:00am

Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair production equipment, including pneumatic pumps and motors, vacuum pumps, compressors, solvent lines, water lines, air lines, reactor vessels, and HVAC systems.
Ensure cleaning and maintenance of production, support areas, and general facility in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Handle requests from production and other departments, prioritizing tasks to ensure timely completion.
Transfer solvents to use locations safely and efficiently.
Update inventories and other supplies as needed to support maintenance operations.
Comply with all safety procedures, demonstrating knowledge of occupational hazards and required precautions.
Prepare and maintain maintenance reports, ensuring compliance with SOPs and cGMPs.
Deal tactfully, professionally, and courteously with fellow employees and external vendors/contractors.
Perform general clean-up and maintenance tasks as required.
Take necessary safety precautions to ensure the secure performance of assigned duties.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience/Requirements:

3+ years of experience in a pharma manufacturing setting; peptide manufacturing preferred
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Technical Certification or vocational training in mechanical maintenance is preferred
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
Experience working with production equipment, pumps, motors, HVAC systems, and facility maintenance.
Experience with cGMPs, SOPs, and workplace safety regulations.
Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple work orders efficiently.
