In Home Caregiver

The In-Home Caregiver will be a front-line employee offering multiple levels of care to the clients of our In-Home Care Program. This will include going to the home of the clients and providing non-medical care and companionship. The Caregiver will be responsible to the Manager of the Program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Provide companionship and personal care for elderly clients in a manner that does not include any medical or therapeutic support.

· Produce written reports that reflect care provided and overall service provided to the clients.

· Participate in all required training.

· Spend quality time engaged in conversation, being a good listener.

· Offer moral and emotional support.

· Participate in activities, games, puzzles, etc.

· Plan and/or accompany to social outings.

· Assist with personal hygiene care – grooming, dressing, bathing and incontinent care.

· Provide safety supervision and mobility assistance.

· Participate in meal planning and/or preparation.

· Give medication reminders.

· Provide housekeeping and laundry services.

· Provide pet care as needed.

· Supply incidental transportation services.

· Run errands with or without client.
