Job Description
To join our expanding team, IWA Homecare is looking for an individualized home support IHS and HM worker who is caring, motivated, and experienced. The IHS and HM Support worker will provide essential assistance and supervision to adults or children living in their homes or family homes. This role focuses on community living service categories, ensuring that individuals receive the necessary support to maintain their independence and well-being along with keeping the client's home clean. IWA is a Person-Centered social services organization that assists people with life organization, socializing, and basic needs. The job entails bending, walking, using hands, and helping clients complete tasks independently. Potential staff will work with more than one client living in their home.
Will be working with multiple clients.
$500 bonus will be given after 90 days on the job.
Location of Services and Hours:
Saint Paul, MN- IHS 25 hours per week, HM 10 hour per week (Client requests female staff)
Responsibilities:
- Direct Supervision: Provide direct supervision, cueing, provide guidance, and instruction to individuals.
- Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist with tasks such as cleaning, dressing, grooming, and some meal preparation.
- Coordination of Community Living Activities: Help coordinate and attend community activities, ensuring social engagement and participation. Transporting clients back and forth from the community
- Skill Maintenance: Support individuals in maintaining existing skills necessary for independent living.
- In-Person: Services will be provided in the clients' homes.
- Documentation-Recording the work that was done with the individual.
- Home making-Laundry, and Light House Keeping
Qualifications:
Eligibility Criteria:
High Schol Diploma
Meet DHS qualification
Must be physically capable of assisting with personal care tasks and household chores
Enjoy working with others and has a great work ethic
Complete training
Pass Background Study
Have experience working within this field
Valid Driver's License
