Personal Caregiver - $21/hour

Schedule:
Part-time to full-time — 20 to 40 hours per week
Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Client:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Caregiver to provide care for non-ambulatory clients with dementia who live with family. The clients require supportive care in their home, and the role also includes providing respite assistance to the family.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with feeding, bathing, toileting, incontinence, and other personal care needs

• Transferring the client from bed to wheelchair and vice versa

• Provide meaningful companionship and conversation

• Offer respite care support to family members

• Engage the client in calming, structured activities

• Monitor overall safety and offer gentle redirection as needed

Qualifications:

• Experience caring for older adults, especially individuals with dementia

• Ability to communicate fluently in English (bilingual is a plus)

• Ability to build rapport with the client

• Kind, patient, and observant

• Reliable and professional demeanor

Requirements:

• Must be registered as a Home Care Aide (HCA) in California

• Valid Driver’s License and active car insurance

• TB test completed within the last 90 days

• Willingness to undergo a DOI background check

• Completion of 5 hours of paid training within the first week of onboarding

• Two professional references from any previous employment

Compensation:
$20/hour
Includes sick leave and overtime pay when applicable
