Caregiver Job Description
Job Title: Caregiver Job Type: Full-time/Part-time

Reports To: Supervisor/Nurse/Family Member

Job Summary: A Home Care Caregiver provides essential assistance to clients who need help with daily living activities in their homes. The caregiver offers companionship, personal care, and light household support to ensure the client's comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help with mobility, transfers, and exercises as needed.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding if required.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, dishwashing, and tidying up.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Remind clients to take medications as prescribed.
• Assist with errands, grocery shopping, and transportation to appointments.
• Monitor and report changes in the client's condition to the appropriate supervisor or family members.• Follow care plans and safety guidelines established by the healthcare provider or family.

Qualifications & Skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous experience in home care, elderly care, or a related field (preferred but not required).
• CPR and First Aid certification (a plus).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, compassion, and a caring attitude.
• Ability to lift and assist with mobility needs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required for errands).

Work Environment & Schedule:
• Work is primarily in a client’s home environment.
• Shifts may vary, including daytime, evening, overnight, and weekends.
• May involve occasional travel for errands and appointments.
