Pharmacy Clerk/Cashier

Cashier responsibilities include processing payments and verifying customer identification. To succeed in this role, you must have strong communication and customer service skills. Being able to count money accurately and with speed is a plus. Must be available to work during business hours: Monday-Friday 9-6 and Saturday 9-1

Responsibilities:

• Collect and count cash and other payment methods, like credit cards and checks.
• Enter transaction details into the register or terminal.
• Review logbook to ensure that all necessary cash has been collected.
• Transfer cash to safe or vault on a regular basis.
• Update daily records of transactions, including cash sales and bank deposits.
• Ensure money is safely taken care of during cash transfers.
• Collect daily banking receipts and check if they are correct.
• Balance drawer at the end of the day to ensure it matches the day’s transactions.
• Periodically perform routine maintenance on the register or terminal., including cleaning, checking connections, changing paper.
• Protect patient privacy, assist with pharmacy duties
