Position Title: Optician (Full-Time)
Compensation: From $20.00 per hour + training

Naper Grove Vision Care is growing and looking for full-time Opticians to join our team. If you enjoy working with people, learning new skills, and being part of a positive, fast-moving environment, this is a great opportunity.
This role is hands-on and interactive—you’ll work directly with patients, support providers during exams, and help people find the perfect eyewear. Even better, you’ll have the chance to cross-train in both the clinical and optical sides of the practice, giving you real career growth in eye care.
No experience? No problem—we’re happy to train the right person who brings a great attitude and strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist providers and staff in delivering high-quality patient care
- Help patients select frames and lenses that fit their style and needs
- Order contact lenses and assist with eyewear dispensing
- Inspect, adjust, and repair glasses
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Communicate clearly with patients and team members
- Answer phones and provide excellent customer service
- Keep exam rooms, pre-testing areas, and optical lab clean and organized
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ year of experience in optometry or optical preferred (we will train the right person)
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor
- Comfortable working with a variety of patients and personalities
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Must be able to work at both Naperville and Downers Grove locations
Office Hours:
- Full-time
- Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Work Environment:
- In-person role
- Team-oriented, upbeat, patient-focused environment
- Uniform provided (black scrubs)
