Commercial Outside Contractor Sales

Overview

Responsible to work directly with customers in face-to-face situations at jobsites and at customer locations. The goal of this position is to grow sales and the customer base by direct sales efforts.

Responsibilities

• Drive and expand contractor business through maintenance and growth of existing accounts, aggressively prospecting to open/develop new customers and markets
• Visit jobsites and customers at their business sites
• Meet with customers for product selection and questions
• Estimate materials needs from blueprints
• Develop business relationships with customers
• Schedule deliveries to satisfy customers’ needs and to maintain the profitability of the sale
• Establish a business support team for the customer to utilize to include sales management, inside sales and vendors

Qualifications

• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Proficient keyboard and computer skills including Microsoft office and other Company and discipline specific software applications
• Advanced building material product knowledge
