About the Role
Direct Counsel is partnering with a leading Am Law firm on an opportunity for a mid-level litigation associate to join its dynamic and fast-paced Atlanta office. This role offers the chance to work across a broad spectrum of complex litigation matters within a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and draft briefs, motions, and other pleadings, including motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, and motions in limine
• Manage and coordinate discovery in complex litigation matters
• Take and defend depositions (including second chair opportunities)
• Assist in trial preparation, including case strategy and evidentiary development
• Participate in evidentiary hearings and trial proceedings in state and/or federal courts
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case management and client service

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of litigation experience at a law firm or comparable setting
• Demonstrated experience with motion practice, depositions, and discovery
• Exposure to trial preparation and/or courtroom proceedings
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple matters simultaneously
• Commitment to teamwork and delivering high-quality client service

Requirements

• Active membership in the Georgia Bar
