GENERAL SUMMARY:
PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES:
- Project ownership of assigned structural projects from pre-planning to delivery of aircraft
- Perform structural repair and modifications tasks by utilizing approved structural repair techniques
- Inspect, service, repair, and troubleshoot aircraft-related structural systems and structure discrepancies
- Understand and use approved compliance-appropriate technical data from authorized engineering sources, FAA approved documentation and original equipment aircraft manufacturers' maintenance & compliance documentation.
- Ensure the safety and security of customer equipment, parts, and aircraft during all structural repair and modification phases
- Accurately read, interpret and apply aircraft blueprints/modification drawings, engineering orders, service bulletins and technical manuals to ensure compliance with regulatory and repair station requirements
- Ensure correct parts ordering and maintenance manual documentation for assigned structural projects
- Support and document OJT manuals and processes
- Document all maintenance actions clearly and accurately, including test results, corrective actions, and traceability of all parts used
- Ensure all work performed is within the scope of the project and inspected by an authorized repair station inspector
- Maintain the security, calibration, and proper use of tools, equipment, and test devices in accordance with repair-station requirements
Top candidates will possess:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years related aviation experience specific to structural repair and modification
- Experience working on and troubleshooting aircraft components and airframe systems
- A&P certificate or willingness to obtain the certificate
- Ability to obtain and retain an airport AOA badge
- Knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145
- Ability to work overtime and various shifts as business needs require
- Willingness to work on a team with both experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanor
- Ability to communicate well in straightforward situations
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, or procedural manuals
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and a desire to work
Other requirements include:
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces and in noisy environments
- Ability to occasionally travel for work assignments
- Ability to maintain a tool inventory in alignment with shop requirements

The base hourly range for this role is $22.00 USD - $44.00 USD. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of experience levels. Specific compensation for this role will be determined by several factors including but not limited to; minimum and preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience and location.
