Position Summary

Primary responsibilities of the Stihl Technician position are to maintain customer service, generate sales, merchandise product, and process cash register sales quickly, accurately, and efficiently.

Major Responsibilities for Stihl Technician Position:

· Commit to great customer service, team participation, continued learning, and integrity.

· Greet customers and work with them tactfully and pleasantly; answering questions and providing information on merchandise, promotions and advertisements.

· Aid customers in finding machines/merchandise that fit their needs.

· Promptly answer phone calls and provide necessary telephone customer service.

· Operate cash register accurately and efficiently, maintain/process special orders and work orders.

· Maintain and uphold orderly, clean and stocked appearance standards of repair area and department sales area.

· Help process new shipments and keep the receiving/back stock area clean and organized.

· Support inventory maintenance by stocking, facing and cleaning. Assist in the training and development of peers.

· Maintain inventory of machines/parts/merchandise in the Stihl department.

· Diagnose/repair Stihl equipment - keep clear work orders detailing parts used and labor involved on all Stihl repair/warranty work.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements for Stihl Technician Position:
· Education/Training: High School diploma, some college preferred.

· Knowledge of small engine repair.
· Commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
· Be a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Cash handling and retail knowledge of computer systems, electronic cash registers. Word processing and spreadsheet a plus.
· Knowledge of, or ability to learn, about Stihl machines and related products.
· Attention to detail and organization as well as an ability to multitask.
· Available to work schedules that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.

Minimum Physical Requirements for Sales Associate/Cashier Position:

· Must be able to lift 40 pounds frequently.

· Ability to stand for an extended period of time.

· Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting.

· Perform all functions as set forth.
