Position: Hall Monitor
Pay: $15.45+/hr
Job Type: Full-time
Shift: 1st Shift - 7:30a-4:30p
As a Hall Monitor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and orderly conduct of students and staff within school hallways and common areas. This role is essential in fostering a secure and structured learning environment.
Duties:
- Monitor hallways, entrances, restrooms, and other common areas to enforce school policies.
- Ensure students follow established rules and behavioral expectations.
- Assist in conflict resolution by de-escalating situations and reporting incidents to appropriate staff.
- Provide supervision during passing periods, lunch breaks, and before/after school.
- Check student passes and ensure they are in designated areas.
- Assist in maintaining a secure school environment by identifying and reporting potential safety concerns.
- Escort students to and from designated locations as needed.
- Assist with visitor check-ins and ensure only authorized individuals enter the building.
- Respond to emergencies and follow school safety protocols.
- Collaborate with school administration and staff to support student behavior and school-wide expectations.

- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
- Firm but approachable demeanor to effectively interact with students.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with school staff.
- Basic understanding of school policies and procedures.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a school setting, security, or similar role preferred.
- Must pass a background check.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Ability to quickly respond to situations across various school areas.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
