Smith Personnel Solutions is seeking a motivated Crew Leader to guide a production team responsible for building structural trusses in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, keeping teams organized, and ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards.
- Location: Sunnyvale, TX
- Shift: First Shift
- Pay: $18.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily floor truss assembly operations and help the team meet production goals
- Assign tasks to crew members and monitor workflow to maintain efficiency
- Ensure work orders, drawings, and setup instructions are followed accurately
- Inspect completed work to confirm quality and proper assembly
- Promote a safe work environment and ensure team members follow safety procedures and use PPE
- Train and support team members on equipment use, production processes, and quality expectations
- Ensure materials and supplies are staged and ready for production
- Communicate production updates, issues, or material needs to supervisors
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in truss manufacturing, construction, or a similar production environment preferred
- Previous leadership or crew lead experience strongly preferred
- Ability to read work orders and basic production drawings
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an active manufacturing setting
