Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW) for a travel assignment in Anchorage, Alaska.

This role supports inpatient case management services within a large acute care hospital, providing psychosocial support, discharge planning, and care coordination for diverse patient populations.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This assignment is ideal for social workers with strong acute care experience who are comfortable working in a consult-based environment, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and managing complex discharge planning needs.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
• 13-week contract
• Day shift 5x8s (08:30–17:00)
• Weekend requirement: every other
• 1 position available

COMPENSATION
Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. Each compensation package is customized and may include taxable hourly wages along with tax-free stipends when applicable.

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments
• Develop and implement patient-centered discharge plans
• Provide crisis intervention and safety planning as appropriate
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and external agencies
• Facilitate referrals for community resources and support services
• Screen for suicidality and complete mandated reporting as required
• Provide short-term therapeutic interventions and patient education
• Document care and coordination activities in Epic EMR

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Acute care hospital (400+ beds)
• Level II Trauma Center and Magnet facility
• Epic charting system
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with case management and care teams

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years acute care social work experience REQUIRED
• LMSW or LCSW REQUIRED
• AK license required (pending license accepted)
• Experience with inpatient case management and discharge planning
• Strong knowledge of community resources and care coordination
• Experience with psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention
• Epic experience preferred
