Onsite in San Diego, CA
The organization seeks a Systems Engineer to support a Navy Key Management project portfolio in San Diego. The role will cover system architecture and design, requirements and data flow analysis, integration, network design, and test and validation across the system lifecycle. The engineer will collaborate with internal teams and customer stakeholders, produce technical documentation, and contribute to technical interchange and working group meetings. The position may offer a 9/80 schedule option and relocation assistance and will require work at customer facilities.
Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen with an active Secret clearance. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate: $80.00 to $90.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Lead systems engineering, hardware, and software analysis to support the Navy’s Key Management project portfolio.
- Define and apply systems engineering processes to develop systems that meet customer requirements.
- Manage requirements, including decomposition, allocation, verification, and validation for use by development and test teams.
- Define and develop system architecture, CONOPS, and use cases using systems engineering methodologies.
- Participate in and lead discussions at customer meetings, working groups, and technical interchange meetings.
- Research, design, write, and review technical documentation including technical manuals, design specifications, interface requirements, user guides, reference manuals, installation guides, and data sheets.
- Prepare and deliver project briefing materials upon request.
- Work at customer facilities as required, up to five days per week.
- Coordinate with internal technical professionals and customer points of contact.
Experience Requirements:
- Professional experience in systems engineering across the lifecycle including architecture, integration, verification, and validation.
- Experience with requirements management, including decomposition, allocation, verification, and validation.
- Background in network design and implementation and data flow analysis.
- Experience creating CONOPS, use cases, and system architecture artifacts.
- Experience leading technical discussions with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to produce and review comprehensive technical documentation.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Active Secret Clearance.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
