Job Description
The Long Term Care RN (Nights) plays a vital role in providing compassionate and skilled nursing care within a very low acuity environment. This position involves managing a high patient-to-nurse ratio of approximately 1:25 during night shifts, ensuring safe and effective care without intravenous lines, feeding tubes, wounds, or behavioral challenges. The RN collaborates closely with medical staff, adheres to compliance standards, and facilitates seamless patient handoffs using a combination of standardized checklists, verbal, and electronic reporting during rotating weekends. Night shifts require adaptability and strong coordination skills to manage patient needs and promote wellness.
Available shift: Nights (Rotating weekends); 6PM - 6AM
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of nursing experience
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas or a compact state
- BLS certification
