Job Details Salary: $15 to $17 per hour Job Type: Full-time Location: Phillipsburg, NJ 08865 Position Overview As an Automotive Detail Lot Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of company and customer vehicles. This includes washing and waxing vehicles using power equipment and ensuring all vehicle inventory is well-maintained on the dealership property. You will report directly to both the Sales and Service Managers. Duties and Responsibilities Wash and wax cars and trucks promptly according to management requests. Perform assigned tasks efficiently and accurately per dealership standards. Ensure vehicle keys are properly tagged and matched with corresponding vehicles. Inspect vehicles to identify any additional safety or service needs. Notify service advisor or sales manager immediately if extra work is required. Refrain from using customer vehicles for personal errands. Supervise apprentice technicians when assigned. Maintain a clean and organized work area, accounting for all dealership-owned tools. Comply with federal, state, and local regulations regarding disposal of hazardous materials.
Job Requirement:Qualifications Previous detail technician experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and understand job-related instructions in electronic or paper format. Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail. Sound judgment and reliability. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Working Conditions Typically a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime and rotating Saturday shifts. Work environment includes indoor and outdoor settings in all seasons, exposed to dust, exhaust fumes, and other materials. Required to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times per shift and perform physical activities like stooping, kneeling, reaching, and handling tools. Must wear dealership uniform at all times.
